Grant to support regional optics, photonics companies

The Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences (CEIS) at the University has been awarded a three-year $1.9 million grant from five federal agencies to accelerate the growth of small- and medium-sized optics, photonics, and imaging companies in the Finger Lakes region. The program, known as the Rochester Regional Optics, Photonics, and Imaging Accelerator, is a partnership of the University, the Rochester Regional Photonics Cluster, Rochester Institute of Technology, Monroe Community College, and High Tech Rochester.
