Technology Development Fund Awards OpenOctober 18, 2019 The fall 2019 round of the University’s Technology Development Fund is open. Eligible projects propose the development of a technology to a commercial endpoint. Awards are up to $100,000 and support animal testing, prototyping, and other proof-of-concept studies. The fund is open to all faculty, staff, and students. A submitted invention disclosure to UR Ventures is required with an application. Pre-proposals are due Thursday, October 31, and should be submitted to omar.bakht@rochester.edu |

Women of InnovationApril 12, 2019 For patients with vision loss after a stroke or brain injury, a simple therapy device developed by Krystel Huxlin, the James V. Aquavella, M.D. Professor in Ophthalmology, could help train the eye to see again. Huxlin is one of several faculty being featured as part of Women of Invention, a series on the University’s Newscenter. |
The Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund is now accepting applications for Manufacturing GrantsFebruary 5, 2019 The Manufacturing Grants are designed to encourage collaboration between companies and non-profit organizations in New York State that work with the manufacturing industry.
